What We Believe

  1. In one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Mark 12:29, Matt 28:19, 1 John 4:15, John 1:1,14)
  2. That Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God. (Mark 1:1, 1 John 4:15)
  3. In His virgin birth (Matt 1:18-23), In His sinless life (Heb 4:14-15), In His miracles (Acts 2:22), In His vicarious and atoning death (Rom 5:6-11), In His bodily resurrection (Acts 10:38-41), In His ascension to the right hand of God the Father (Mark 16:19), and in His future, personal return to this earth in power and glory. (Acts 1:11, Luke 21:27)
  4. That all have sinned and that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through the blood of Jesus Christ. (Rom 3:23-25)
  5. That regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation. (Titus 3:4-7)
  6. In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling presence the believer is enabled to live a godly life which manifests the fruit of the Spirit. (John 14:16-17, Galatians 5:22-24)
  7. That man is justified by faith in Jesus Christ, apart from works. (Ephesians 2:4-9, Rom 10:9-10, John 3:16)
  8. That the redemptive work of Christ provides healing for the whole man; spirit, soul and body. (1 Pet 2:21-24, Isaiah 53:5)
  9. That all believers in Christ may ask for and receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to their salvation experience. (Luke 11:13, Acts 1:4-8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 10:45-46 with Acts 11:15-17)
  10. That the biblical experience of speaking with other tongues is valid for believers today and is the most common evidence of the baptism with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:4, Acts 10:45-46, Acts 19:6)
  11. That the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as described in 1 Corinthians chapters 12 to 14, should be practiced with love and manifested in the church today. (1 Cor 12:1-12, 27-31; 1 Cor 14:1, 26-33)
  12. In the resurrections of both the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life and the lost to eternal judgment. (Daniel 12:2, Acts 24:15, Rev 20:12-15, Matt 13:40-43)
  13. In water baptism, by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matt 28:19, Acts 8:36-38, Acts 19:3-5)
  14. That the Bible, in its original language, is the infallible word of God, given to men by the inspiration of God. (2 Pet 1:20-21, 2 Tim 3:16-17)
  15. In the reality and personality of our enemy, Satan. (1 Peter 5:8-9, Rev 12:911)
  16. We also remember the Lord’s death in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper. His blood purchased salvation for us and His broken Body purchased healing for us. (Mark 14:22-25, 1 Cor 11:23-30, 1 Pet 2:24)
